About Christina

​

Christina is currently building  a career as a portrait artist and painter of bespoke commissions.   

 

Her focus is on portraiture, working mostly from life in the Alla Prima method.   She enjoys the challenge of capturing the observable, the hidden and the inferred, as evidenced in a sitter’s face, their body language and their environment.  She also paints landscapes, still life and large abstract works.   While trained in classical methods, in both Sydney and London, she enjoys adding her own creative and expressive touches to her works - combining the observed with the imagined.  

 

Christina also provides art tuition to children and adults.
