LEARN THE SECRETS OF CREATING BEAUTIFUL OIL PAINTINGS

 

Christina will take you through the foundation  practice that will enable you to understand the visual language of painting so you can use your new skills to paint a portrait in oils of a loved one or a subject/project of your choice.  

 

You will be taught a combination of classical techniques from Europe but encouraged to explore your own style for a more contemporary feel.  

 

You will begin with the foundation course, which is broken down into easy to understand stages which you will work through at your own pace.  You will learn to see and express Proportion, Gesture, Light and Dark and Colour. When this has been mastered you move into a deeper study of Form and Anatomy or Landscape Painting.    The foundation is taught from life but photo references may be used for a special project, if required. 

 

Christina provides individual tuition in your own home, as well as  group tuition and classes.
